Has anyone shipped a horse trailer long distance (just the trailer, no horse)? The auto shipping companies mostly don’t do it. So far I’ve gotten a quote from the heavy haul division of one company and it’s crazy expensive.
Try a hot shot load board. Hot Shot truckers are the guys who haul with a heavy duty pick-up instead of a semi. I’d also try googling for guys who deliver RVs.
Thank you! A local trailer dealer that I called also recommended that, and in fact gave me a specific guy that they use and trust.
When I did this, I found someone via uShip.
Thank you! I’m going to use the guy recommended by the local dealer.
I used uShip to get my trailer from Florida to Illinois. I lucked out at finding a guy who was returning home from another job and due to the awkward time of year was just happy to have a job for his return home.
Do you know what that guy quoted you to ship the trailer?
