Short cycling question- microdose lutalyse?

I have read that you can microdose lutalyse just as effectively as using the full dose?

What is the correct dosage for this?

My mare was ultrasound on Monday and unfortunately she had already ovulated so that means we will have to wait for the next cycle or short cycle her.

My vet said I can give her a dose of lutalyse on Saturday and have her ultrasounded again on Tuesday of next week to see where she is at.

I have to stop by the vet to pick up the drug so I don’t currently know what dosage they are recommending.

Jos Mottershead article:
.
“Using one-tenth of the full dosage volume either once (Cloprostenol) or two days in a row (Dinoprost) will cause a return to estrus in receptive mares without the unpleasant side-effects often seen with usage of the full dosage (sweating, cramping etc.)”

there’s no good reason any more to do the full dose and cause the unpleasant side effects of sweating and cramping. The microdose works just as well, and rarely causes side effects
