I had considered Kerrits, but after seeing them in person with a friend of mine who shows in them, I personally don’t like the look they give for showing.
Yes, ponies are definitely in my range of things to ride lol. Just don’t ever put me on something over 17 hands and we’re good

I have quite a few pairs of TS short…they are hard to find and I bought them locally. However, I have been told by stockists that TS will make them for you on request. I’ve never done that, though. I also fit in the Kerrits petite. They are fine for schooling but are not quite show-worthy, especially since the tan holds on to color from the saddle like nobody’s business. I do wish there were another manufacturer whose breeches I can wear. I can’t roll them because then the boots wouldn’t fit, and I don’t think that would be comfortable anyway. It’s too bad, since there are some wonderful fabrics out there. I’m not interested in alterations, either, so I just nurture my TS and only wear them for showing.

Fellow shorty here! After years of searching for petite breeches, special ordering Tailored Sportsman in short and waiting for months for them to arrive, I’ve started to just cut the bottom of my breeches. The first time I did it was terrifying. It’s unsettling taking scissors to $200+ pants, but it’s actually been the best decision I’ve made. For my school breeches, I just straight up cut them to length. I cut my tailoreds right above the slit with the Velcro on the ankle. For my more expensive Equiline show pants, I’ve had them professionally hemmed for $20. They’d honestly probably be fine without being hemmed, but I had too much anxiety to just hack such expensive pants.

Does TS have a website to contact them through? I have been looking and nothing is coming up. Do I just need to make a special order through my tack store?
I’ve always had to order through a local tack shop. I highly recommend The Equestrian Shop in Rowley MA. Independent tack shop that’s been in the same family for 60 years. You can order over the phone or through email. The owner, Monique, is wonderful. You can pretty much customize them with any color, any rise, side or front zip, sock or Velcro bottom. She’ll ship them to you as soon as they arrive, so you don’t need to be local. I’ve gotten them as soon as 3 weeks and as long as 8. TS isn’t know for being the easiest vendor for tack shops to work with, but it sounds like they’re getting better. I’ll post some pictures of my cut and hemmed beeches later when I’m home!

I’m 5’1.
If you are around a size 26/28 in TS, you can look into buying the Kids sizes in 18 & 20. If you’re closer to a 22 or 24, than go with size 16.
Tougher to find the sock bottom versions but definitely shorter. I used to buy them all the time and actually was fit a few times by TS for the kids version when I was in high school and college.

Maybe try Manhattan Saddlery. I don’t know about petites but they always had a large supply of TS breeches. Call their “personal shopping” number "Call or text us anytime at 212-673-1400."
Adult re-rider in the same boat! I went to two tack shops and neither had any in Short. The second had Long, but said the Short are hard to come by. I ended up with one pair of TS and one pair of KL Select, both in Regular and a little too long. I think I am going to take a pair to the seamstress in town and have her shorten them, but my issue is I don’t even know where the bottom should fall!
Have you tried Ariat? I find the Tri-Factors run short in the inseam (also a shorty here).

These are great breeches that don’t bunch in the back of the knee. I’m 5’2 and these fit me great.

I think I will contact my local tack store (Farmhouse) and see if I could order some TS through them, or at least compare the kids sizes to the fit of the women’s. I may also try other brands they carry to see if I can find a fit I like that I could just get the length tailored on. Perfect excuse to head to the tack store

I got lucky and got a pair of EquiLine breeches new for $25.00! Granted they are pink but my lord they feel amazing.
Farmhouse also has Four Horses breeches. Try them out, you’ll love them. Horse Pilot breeches are at TIEC.

Awesome! Thanks for the recommendation. I think we’re heading down there on Thursday and then will be down there Friday and Saturday for a schooling show, so I should have plenty of chances to go look.

TS just came out with a new fabric on the trophy hunters (“techlight”) and Farm House has them with a short length on the drop down menu. I haven’t felt them yet, but have seen some posts online where they seem like a really nice material.

I’ll second the idea of trying kids’ larger sizes. I’m short (5’1") and when I was a bit thinner, I had kids XL riding tops and a protective vest. Could not do kids’ breeches because I “have a very low center of gravity” to put it politely, AKA big hips and butt. Yet somehow kids’ top half stuff accommodated my then 34D bust.
As a side note: I’m losing weight, gone the GLP-1 route, down 15 pounds and would like at least another 10 off. This would put me at 135, which probably sounds really heavy, but I’m built like a Cob and am positively bony at 125. But I won’t fit in kids’ sizes even if I get there. Believe them about muscle loss!
