Shout out for Holly Hill Transport

Holly Hill was one outfit recommended here when I asked about pros for a MN to CT haul, and I just have to say that they were PHENOMENAL. Huge kudos to them, and highly recommended if they service your route.

Not only was Charlie super prompt with his replies, we were able to shift the date when we couldn’t make the house movers fit in. Erika in the office was really friendly and happy to answer any questions, or track down stuff she didn’t know. Chris, one of the drivers, was right there on the communication front. Both drivers were great with the horses.

Horses loaded and traveled great–video in the rig, so they were watched the whole time–and walked off without a hair out of place. They also brought our tractor, spreader, and various tractor attachments.

The rig actually arrived early which I think is a first in the history of horse shipping. We did have the whole van and they went door to door, but still. Wow. (Arrival time was communicated, so no surprises, just moved up a bit from the previous conversation the night before.)

These are just really top notch guys and great horsemen willing to go the extra mile with a smile on their face. Don’t think you can do better if you’ve got to ship. They’re based in Mass, make regular FL and KY runs, but do go west–not sure how far, but at least to MN.

Really, nothing but positive things to say. It could not have gone any better.

So nice to hear about a great shipping experience. Well done!

per their site…

We are available to move horses anywhere in the United States and Canada, though the majority of our business is in the Eastern half of the U.S. If we don’t have service going to a customer’s specific area, it is likely we know another carrier that does.

appear to be a top notch operation , one I hadn’t heard of before

Absolutely top notch, clanter. Really impressed with them, and we really asked a lot with all of the extra non horse stuff. I’ve not shipped horses a WHOLE lot, but here and there and this was by far the best experience I’ve had. I’m sure it helps that I bought the entire van, but I don’t doubt they’re just as responsive and caring about a single horse. Just good guys with great rigs and drivers that are really solid horsemen.

Simkie, thank you for the compliments and I apologize for being late to respond. It was a pleasure helping you with your move. We’re lucky to have a great crew and great customers. We’ve been in the H/J and horse industry all our lives, at least Chris, the lead driver and I, so it was sort of a practice-makes-perfect performance. We try and learn something new every day and improve how we do things from that learning and it’s really nice that it went noticed. Thankyou!-Charlie Venezia
