Show Jumping Individual Finals on Fri., 8/19

I’m definitely rooting for Ward & Azur but there are SO many great combos out there. It will be an exciting event!

Because if she does Marcus Beerbaum will be sleeping on the couch for the next four years![/QUOTE]
HAHAHAHAHAHA

So excited for today’s final! Thankfully have half day at work so I can focus 100% attention on second round today

I will definitely be cheering on Eric Lamaze and Fine Lady today, and the rest of the Canadian riders, but I really would be cool with McLain Ward (one of my favourite riders) winning gold today

Good luck to all!

Here’s the live stream link (with the British commentators) for the Canadian crew: http://olympics.cbc.ca/video/live/equestrian-jumping-finals.html

LaurieP, Valinski S looks fabulous.

ETA: My NBC sports ap just gave me an alert saying “Beezie Madden looks to gain a second individual gold medal in the show jumping! WATCH LIVE!”… They could at least get their facts straight about Beezie not riding today AND her actual medals.

lol I remembered and went the long way to get the British guys. I am sure it will be on tv as well.

Anyone have a direct link for BBC’s coverage? The play arrow seems to be hit or miss for me and hasn’t been showing up for the last 2 days even though it says it’s “live”.

oh I can hardly watch come on Big Star…

So close, but no cigar for Diniz.

I adore Big Star & Nick. They are one of my favorite combos.

Nick Skelton and Big Star clear!

YESSSS!! Lovely round!

Dejavu is so catty. He just saved so much bacon right there. OMG

British commentator on Mohammed and Dejavu: “he did 6 there…oh he’s being run away with”. They did appear to be arguing a bit about the pace!

I have to cheer for Nick Skelton…7 Olympic games at age 58 is impressive! Plus, I adore how cranky he always looks, but the big smile at the end of his round today was precious.

MMB is high on my list, too. Having a woman take gold would be fabulous, but honestly be happy to have anyone riding a Swedish horse end up in the top three.

You have to wonder if the extra jumping from the jump-off between Germany and Canada will be a factor today…

And he shed a bunch of weight and got into shape for this games. He is trying so hard. I just love it! He was one of my favorites when I first started following show jumping at a very young age. I always have to root for him.

EMERALD IS IN. -heart eyes-

BBC link if anyone wanted it?

Shame to see Emerald pull a fence, lovely horse.

Ben and Tic Tac next. At least the brits know their fate early I guess!

Ahhh! 1 time fault for the Argentinian rider…he was astounded when he looked at the clock.
