Laura’s horse is more than “nice enough”. In an article after she won her fist Grand Prix on him, she called him one of the best horses in the world, and everyone tried to buy him. Laura’s sponsors were able to step up and purchase him.
Sure. Doesn’t change that she’s ridden him for 4 months.
Like I said, I’m not the chef so my opinion matters not, but wouldn’t have been my pick this time around.
I agree with this - four months just doesn’t seem long enough to put them on the Olympic team, but I didn’t follow the selection process. After Beezie dropped out of contention, who would have been a better pick than Laura? (honest question - not picking on Laura at all just wondering who else would have been a potential pick)
[edit] Yeesh! Check out the tone of your original post. Anyway… glad you get to see McLain ride tomorrow.
I personally might have picked Adrienne and Cristaline for one of the spots. That horse has the scope for the 1.65m set at the Olympics and steps up on big days
You have to admit, it is an unusual jump decoration.
Well, at least the equestrian events are getting more exposure
Today is Friday, what time, please?
Found it, 5 CST.
starting right now
starting now - 6 am EDT
The live stream is on now.
Thanks!!!
The Sumo wrestler seems to have the night off.
Seems to be a tough course for those that have gone so far. No one making the time and many rails down.
Japanese horse that made the indiv final, looked so good, sad to see them drop two rails at the end of course.
decent score so far though, early on
This Argentine rider has a unique style of riding. The horse just loped along like a hunter over those big jumps. If that gorgeous chestnut horse ever stops wanting to jump big sticks, he can come live with me.
just noticed that Morocco has qualified a team.
Is this their first appearance at Olympics (or WEG?) as a team?
That was not a hackamore… that was a lot of hardware on that horse.
that poor Irish horse
