Look, I understand that with no drop score there’s immense pressure on each combination to finish, but that did not look horsemanlike. That was a disaster waiting to happen.
agree 100%
Completely agree I’m pretty sure he’d have pulled out much sooner if it hadn’t been the team but even my non horsey OH said he could see that coming. Hope no lasting ill effects for either of them.
does anyone have the most recent order of go? apologies if it was posted earlier, i am having issues loading the whole thread!
Shane’s horse just seemed a little funny from the beginning…? I might have pulled the horse up before he had a chance to crash. Seemed like the course went downhill very fast.
Are pinch boots still allowed? The Irish horse looked uncomfortable behind.
Terry Liebel on cbc live stream is making me wish we had Lucinda back as commentator.
I still have Lucinda and John.
I think I heard Lucinda say Shane’s horse threw a shoe. Can’t remember if it was the last fence where he fell or the one before that.
It threw a lot of things. Its back legs, its front legs, its shoe, and finally its rider. Poor kid. I don’t know that horse- is it young? He looked completely out of his depth today, emotionally speaking.
Way to go, King Edward!
Ireland is out then?
Live stream online NBC.
i can only access cbc (in canada)
I am very grateful for the live feed, but may need to mute the commentator
Laura has one rail but makes the time.
I believe that horse was one of the young ones - 9 or 10?
I looked him up- he’s 12.
I hope his next return to the ring is compassionately done to help him regain his confidence in himself.
On another note, the choice to compress up and go inside to the polka-dot rail oxer or gallop outside is an interesting one given the shape of the jump and the turns, and I’ll be curious to see how that pans out across the class.
Ah, thanks! I thought Lucinda said he was young and not as experienced.
Can someone point me to order of go? I thought I saw it yesterday but can’t find it today.
This is the order of go by team. I’m still looking for the order of go by rider in between rounds.
From the US, Jessie Springsteen next around 7:38 EST says USEF on Twitter, McLain in anchor position.
