Show name needed, Luna

Need to register my new DHH mare, I’ve named her Luna but would like to come up with a creative show name. She’s black with a white snip and 2 hind socks…

Pictures are helpful.

Clair de Lune - French for moonlight, and a famous piece by Debussy

Or Debussy.

Wonder how some announcers will handle either name. :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

After seeing the picture, she seems a very substantial mare, needs a more down to earth name.
Brunhilda, a valkyrie, maybe?

I usually don’t do these but…

What about simply “Over The Moon”

They s/b able to do Claire de Lune (my fave of those suggested), but {shudder} Debussy could go so wrong :persevere:

Jr I showed with decided to show her gelding as Sophocles.
Announcer: On course, Sop-hockles

She’s lovely. Definitely needs a strong, yet feminine name.

Solar Flair!

Yes I know it’s solar flare but it’s a play on words that I think fits with her snip and general flair.

For a long time i heard his name as DubyaC…

I was thinking more Da Bussy

Or Valkyrie. Which might get misread as Valerie, which isn’t bad either

I was thinking Moonstruck…love the ideas!

Honestly, I should have called her “risky business” or “lucky star”…I purchased her sight unseen, the day after I had to put down my mare. Bittersweet but the luckiest ultimate impulse shopping ever

I’m stuck on “Lunatic.” Not helpful!

But what a pretty girl!

Is that a single rein draw set up through the bottom ring of the elevator? :astonished: That’s a brave photo to post for this board lol
