So I’ve been showing for 11 years at USEF-rated shows and have never had a pant-related problem. I was talking to a friend who has more show experience than me, and she made a comment wondering about the legality of full-seat pants. I competed in full-seat pants in my past two shows at one of the premier venues in my area and had no problem. The same question goes to the legality of silicon-patched (FS or KP) pants. At my work (tack store), there are show pants both FS and KP silicon and traditional KP only. I heard that IEA rules may have changed to no silicon-permitted (could have just been trainer-specific), and I wanted to check that USEF permitted them. I compete in the Hunters and Eq and am planning to chase state and zone points this season, so I was wondering if anyone knew if this is continuing to be allowed, or if I’ve just gotten lucky.
Judge here…we are not looking at your pants. The end
You know I love you.
If you are a USEF member, it is very, very easy to check the USEF rules for yourself online so you don’t have to take anyone else’s word for it.
Thank you <3
I looked at them before posting but since there was no specific note to them, I just wanted to check popular opinion! Thank you for linking them anyway!
Ohhh…sorry. Thought I would read about somebody hyperventilating at shows……carry on.
Its ok! Dont worry haha
