Show shirts

Ok eventing peeps! I have a fabulous cooling system. I sweat worse then a Lady of the Night sitting in a church pew! I am preparing for my first recognized event in over 15 years which is also going to be during the hottest month of the year. Living in Montana where the tack stores are few i will be forced to mail order everything. I am long-waisted with broad shoulders. What fabulous shirts are out there now that may fit my build? And are any in technical fabrics that will help to keep from dehydrating in Dressage???

I highly recommend the Romfh Competitor shirt. I have both the short sleeve and long sleeve versions, but I prefer the long sleeve. The under side of the sleeve is vented all the way from armpit to wrist and I like having the sleeves to protect me from the sun (member of the fair skin club). So far, I’ve never been hot wearing this and I’m a sweater for sure. It was one of the only ones I found for a decent price (purchased on sale of course) that was long enough for me to tuck in. Tried several others like Kerrits and my gawd were they short. And bonus - I am also broad shouldered and the L fits me perfect with room to move around in (I think my short sleeve is a M and still fits well too).

If you do a Google search, I’m sure you can find it on sale for a decent price somewhere.

Good luck and have fun at your event!

I highly recommend the Romfh Competitor shirt![/QUOTE]

Just got the short-sleeved version last week and I love it.

Don’t wash it with anything that might “pull” at it (eg, anything with velcro).

Check out Dover they’ve got the Romfh shirts and the Riding Sports are cheaper knock offs of it. I’ve got two of the Riding Sports in the short sleeve and one long sleeve and they are a good value but you do need to order like 2 sizes larger than you usually do as they run really small for some reason. Maybe just one size up if you like a snuggish fit. Be warned, the material, at least on the short sleeve white, is somewhat thin/see through so be sure to wear a white or nude colored bra. Other than that, I’ve been really happy with mine - cool to wear and so far, after about 3 or 4 outtings each, they’ve cleaned up just fine.

I LOVE THIS SHIRT: www.fitsriding.com/collection/breeze-tech-shirt

Seriously. It was totally worth the money.

I just got an Ariat shirt with the snap collar with a flowery design on the inside (so when you unsnap the collar, it has a bit of colour). It doesn’t stay clean long (this is your warning) but it was light and cool and really great when they waived jackets - I was all set.

You might look at the Ice Fil shirts (I am only familiar with the Kerrits ones, but apparently TS has now started making them according to Smartpak).

I have an ariat shirt that is all a stretchy mesh material, except for the front panel. It is quite long aswell. I absolutely love it!
