How do you manage your show horse with seasonal allergies? Help me understand usef rules for respiratory meds.
I’m working with my vet to determine the cause of my mares dry cough (infection ruled out), but understanding the medication rules is something new to me.
It is a bit of a maze! I have found the easiest thing to do is sort out your specific questions (so, in general terms, am I allowed to use this drug and if so what is the withdrawal period, and can I use it closer to competition if I sign a declaration?) and then call the USEF and ask. They are really helpful.
