Showjumping Round 2: Sunday am

Anyone getting ready to watch?

It was a struggle to get out of bed but i made it.

I’m here, sort of…

Good morning…

Can someone explain the “ear net” fashion? What’s the point? They’re inside in an airconditioned stadium that is dead quiet. No flies, bugs, or anything.

I am loving Kalaska - what a good horse.

It is outdoors.

Almost every horse has touched the water so far.

I’m here.

And even though it’s Sunday, I feel like I need to let you know that I’m a teacher and have the summer off. That’s why I’ve been able to watch and comment on the Olympics so much. I DO have a job!

Kendra

I’m always up at 6am, so I’m watching until I leave for the barn at 8am.

Eileen

The Guatemala horse is gorgeous.

Horses also wear ear nets to block out noise. They help keep pom poms from falling out.

my bad. Really? I thought I read somewhere that it was inside, in airconditioning. ??

I must say, I normally avoid being up at 4am, lol, but I don’t have a job to worry about :frowning:

oops, a refusal by the Russian

Oh my, I would gladly let her borrow a hair net!!

Ok, these last two have been tough to watch. Are they just not jumping at this level or are they having bad rounds due to nervousness?

Haha, there’s another blonde rider with a red jacket that I saw in the first round with hair hanging everywhere. Eek.

Tough rounds this morning so far, huh?
