If it ever stops raining!!
I finally, finally found a clinic in my area, ok well close it’s a few hours away but I think it will be totally worth it! I’m very excited!! I was starting to think I was just going to have a buy a sidesaddle and learn by myself. I couldn’t find anybody that rode sidesaddle (or that would return phone calls…).
The clinic is down at a historic ranch and they’re providing saddles for us to ride in. We get a lesson each day (2 days), they provide lunch both days and a dinner, they’re doing “lessons” on the history of sidesaddle riding, what to/not to wear, eticutte, different types and styles of saddles, saddle fitting for the rider and the horse and a tack swap on sunday (which I can’t wait to see what kind of good things I can get my hands on! hehe). The lady organizing the clinic told me to bring my “outfit” for sunday, they’re doing a parade through the visitor area of the ranch and they want everybody to be all dressed up. I unfortunately don’t have an outfit yet but she said that wouldn’t be a problem, she’d arrange for me to borrow one.
Very very excited!!! I can’t wait to learn!
