Sigh - more designer breeds

Other than the color, she sort of looks like a Nederlandse Kooikerhondje. An old breed, but new to AKC. Not terribly popular yet, but a sporting breed and a nice small package. I might like one as well. image

English Cockers are delightful! Not hyperactive at all, cuddly and people-oriented, pretty easy to train. They’re kind of a “moderate maintenance” breed, needing regular brushing 2-3x/week to prevent mats and I advise keeping the hair around the ears clipped to prevent yeast infections and other nastiness that can befall the long-eared breeds.
SO bred and showed them for decades; he has some contacts if you’re interested. There are not a lot of them in the US, though I wouldn’t call them scarce. The English Cocker community is diligent about placing puppies and keeping its stock out of the hands of puppy millers and BYBs, though I wouldn’t say it never happens.

My little one - actually a “he” is built long and pretty low. I believe the coloring came from some sort of hunting/herding dog; he is very busy, always watching/waiting for something, making sure everything is in place.
This NK dog is really nice looking.
My little guy is 12ish, the red-head is 6ish, so hopefully I’m not in the market for a while. But I do like to have a plan or some ideas…,

@Mara, thanks for input on the cockers. I dont think of them mostly as I never see any…

If looking at English Cocker Spaniels, there are “working” and “show” lines. The show ones are slightly more sociable and don’t need as much exercise but have a thicker coat so need more grooming. The working ones will go all day, have a slightly flatter coat and so need less brushing. Nice people and very popular as pets here in the UK.

Oh my.

Is that even real or just bad photoshop?

I didn’t even think Photoshop because somewhere you know there’s some fool who thinks a malinoodle is a great idea. But for the safety and sanity of all involved, I sincerely hope that it is Photoshop!

That Hybrid Dog page is ALL photoshop, meant to stir people up.

Plus, you know they wouldn’t turn out that nice-looking, lol.

Thankfully the Hybrid Dog Project is all AI generated dogs.
No breeding/whelping has taken place.
Not to say it won’t give some yahoo an idea.

Thank God… do we really want a high strung bitey genius?

We probably already do, but as pointed out, they don’t look that good!

Do you derive pleasure from talking to people like this? Not very Christian of you.

LOL Seriously? You pulled out a quote written 8 months ago so you can chastise this poster? How very Christian of you.

Just more petty bickering as I mentioned on the thread on CE. Just for the fun of it.

I didn’t look at the date.

I’m as far from being a Christian as Trump is from being innocent.

Lol, yeah seriously!

Just saw an ad on one of my local Facebook groups for “American Bulador” puppies
Black lab x American Bulldog, 12 puppies in the litter. The ad didn’t give a price or how many were available, just that they can go to their new homes next week.

:confounded:

When I see ads like that one, I think it was probably an oops litter and someone put a cute name on the puppies so they can sell them. I wonder if either of the parents was purebred.
