Hi, I’m trying to turn my wooded pen into a horse friendly pen. So far, I’ve filled in a LOT of holes, mostly from dead tree stumps, sprayed with dicamba, 2-4D and triclopyr, which usually kills all weeds and I have this left. I had a tree company out to remove some dead trees and their rep said it was signal grass. I sent the photos to the co-op extension office rep, who is so great, I just haven’t received a response back yet. So I checked out the internet and it mentioned that it gives the horses “big head” disease, which I’ve never heard of. Another place said it was ok for horses to eat it as long as they got supplements. I had two horses back there a short time period and they weren’t eating it.
I realize some of these articles were from Australia, but I still wonder. Has anyone ever heard of this? Basically it recommended RoundUp Pro. Any thoughts? TIA!
