Sending major jingles x
So scary! Sending positive thoughts and prayers. Thank goodness she was wearing a helmet. Hoping for a full and quick recovery.
Massive amount of JINGLES…
SO happy she was wearing her helmet. Jingles for her and Boyd!
What a winter. Fingers crossed for a full recovery, thank goodness she was wearing a helmet (why do people not?).
Hope she is better soon. She looked great last weekend in Wellington.
Sending good thoughts for a speedy and complete recovery!
Major jingles for a speedy recovery. They are such lovely people!
Fingers crossed and lots of prayers being sent her way! SO glad the dressage community has made the move to wear helmets more often now, hopefully she makes a full recovery.
All the best wishes from Colorado.
Silva, I have never met you but I have admired your riding…
The “freak” accidents have always been the worst (in my experience) but many of us have recovered from some whoppers.
To you and yours, hang in there, we are all wishing you the best.
A lot is up in the air right now, but it is ‘possible’ that Silva could have been the next CKD, or worse. Thank goodness she was wearing a helmet. The decision she made to put one on may have meant we are not sending condolences of another kind.
Sending jingles to her, her family and friends, as well as all the medical staff treating her.
Sending jingles. Any updates? Just checked EN.

Thank god she had a helmet on and hope she heals 100%/…a lovely rider one of the most promising .
Such a scary and random thing to happen. I have received a concussion from a similar bump to the head.
Prayers are being sent x
Many wishes for a full recovery for Silva.
Much credit to those who witnessed the fall for keeping their wits about them and making all the right calls. Those situations can be very scary, no matter how much experience you have.
Big appreciation to Boyd for keeping the horse community informed and emphasizing the importance of a helmet. I especially like his quote to the Chronicle:
“They said for sure if she wasn’t wearing her helmet, she’d be cactus,” said Boyd. "I was very thankful she was wearing it. She comes from a culture in Germany where you don’t wear a helmet every day, but for the last couple of years she’s been very diligent about it.
Best wishes to Silva for a speedy recovery.
I am going to say something that may raise hackles and I honestly mean it in the kindest, most caring way possible (no snarking whatsoever). I hope Boyd (and all the others) take this as a sign to retire the top hats in FEI competition. Accidents can happen on any horse at any moment.
If she could inspire that change in her husband, and other top riders still using top hats, at least something good could come out of an awful situation.
Sending her well wishes for a full and complete recovery! Thank god she was wearing a helmet! Thank god!
Wishing for a speedy recovery for her!
I’d gotten lazy and cold recently and started riding in a winter hat instead of my helmet for walking hacks on my quiet mare. This was a wake up call to me that just because I’m just walking around doesn’t mean it is safe.
SevenDogs–I totally agree.
