Sir Sinclair?

I know the temperaments can’t be beat :), but I’m wondering if anyone has noticed whether or not he passes on the various conformational issues?

Feel free to PM me if you’d rather.

Thanks!

Nobody? C’mon. I know he’s a popular stallion! No one here has foals by him?

PM sent!

I don’t have any personal experience, but am curious too. He’s definitely popular, look how many are listed for sale on this site with him as sire:

I have a 2012 filly by Sir. I am not sure what conformational issues you are refering to. My filly is very correct and has an exceptional tempermant. She is one the most intelligent horses I have ever worked with. Sir definately improved my mare’'s deficiencies; limited range in the foreleg which is set a bit too far under her and she is rather large and coarse. The filly has a beautiful free shoulder with great reach in the front. She also has a quick carring hind leg. The refinement he added was more than I hoped for. Perhaps he was just what my mare needed. Don’t know if it could be repeated and come out this nicely again.

That’s great about your filly! I’ve heard from multiple sources the temperaments and work ethics are phenomenal.

Sir is built somewhat downhill. He also has long pasterns and toes out quite a bit. Those are the “issues” I was referring to. It certainly hasn’t stopped him from being a successful sire though. And with so many offspring by him, I had wondered if he passes on any of those traits.

Sir Sinclair

I love my Sir Sinclair’s! When making a breeding decission just like everything else, you must keep in mind the qualities that you need for each mare. To the right mare, Sir Sinclair is spectacular. Our Allelulia WRF is out of a Zeoliet/Roemer mare. She is the first, and to this date, only North American born 3 yr old Keur Mare! She has a great mind, very modern and elastic. We liked Allie so much that we tried that cross again and have a yearling filly named Glory Alleluolia WRF.
My friend has a 2 year old that is winning everything in Hunter Breeding. There again, the right mare for the right disipline.
