Hi everyone! Just wondering if anyone has any babies by him, or knows more about his temperament. My mare is pretty spicy so I’m looking for a hunter stallion to tone down her spice.
Following as I quite like him. Like you I have a spicy hunter who I may consider breeding in the next few years. She’s on the smaller side, compact with lots of step.
I have no idea what he’s been throwing though. Or what mares he may pair best with…
I’ve had the same issue! Do you have any other options for your mare? Ours seem to be similar, I’m struggling!
I don’t think he has full approval in any registries which has probably prohibited a lot of people from breeding to him. I don’t think he has showed much, if any as well. He is lovely so I wish they would have followed through with that. I have no experience with his foals but his dam line leads back to BdR which if that comes out in his foals, your mare will not be toned down. Without knowing much on how your mare is built, I would probably look at C line holsteiners to tone down spice. Maybe Carrico or Cosmeo
I have a 2 yr old by him out of my hanoverian mare. He is quiet, calm, willing, and brave. Conformationally correct with lots of chrome like mom and dad, hack winning movement and is a big boy. Shari is wonderful to deal with. Mine was premium at Westfalen Inspection scoring 8.0 winning the inspection even though he wasn’t quite 6 weeks old. Very athletic too. Happy to share photos and movement if you would like, just send me a message.
I’ve bred to him twice and used a lovely Connemara mare. She’s produced two stunning fillies by him and I LOVE what ads to the mix.
Lovely hip, elegant head and throat latch, fabulous movement. No complaints at all!
