Some of you may be aware of my multiple posts on this forum about my sister not wanting me to show my horse in western classes…well I just thought I’d give you an update.
Today we were both getting ready for a ride. She started talking about saddle pad colors for showing her mare, then mentioned that purple would look good on my gelding. Then she asked me if I planned on showing in western classes this year, I said yes, and she told me I could borrow her purple saddle blanket if I wanted to. She also told me about getting a pad to go underneath, and said she’d let me use hers if we weren’t showing together. We talked about that for a bit then the subject was changed.
This took me by surprise. I almost couldn’t believe what I was hearing, I thought it was some sort of joke. Not only for her to bring it up, but for her to offer to help me out?! Wow, needless to say I feel much better about this whole thing knowing she’s not against me.
Just FYI, I had made the decision a few weeks ago to show western for sure, so thank you all that helped me gain the confidence for that.
