Still wish that the ignore feature would come back. I am sure others would love that, too, since the Current Events forum has been opened up.
might have not been a good idea, the average active user count has dropped 10% and that if I remember correctly this is a 30 day rolling count so most likely after the is shut down is rolled in the active user count will drop into the mid 3,000 or less… it was near 5,000 before the opening of a Current Events forum

was not aware it must be reset hourly as now the count is down to (5:15pm)

question regarding user profile… a poster who just posted on a thread, I click on user profile to see what else they have posted and all I see is
No activity results to display
which I know is not true since they have just posted on a thread
Is there a way to conceal a poster’s activity?
The ‘Ignore’ is there today, it’s called, don’t read the forum or topic

Yeah, I think it’s supposed to be a “karma” type thing. That poster has very few posts. People who have been here awhile have full bars.
Guessing there’s a setting based on post count/likes/some other metric where you can see someone’s “influence.” People with more likes/posts/whatever have fuller bars.
Betcha it’s just not set up and something that will eventually go away since this isn’t really that sort of place 🤷”♀ï¸

Where is “Today’s Posts”?
might be “Latest Posts” ? … I never used “Today’s Posts” so really have no point of reference but there are two ways to query for new posts… from the over all index or by forum specific
general index then click on Latest Posts that will have all in descending order, forum specific clicking on Latest Posts will just have the new posts to that forum
I’ve suggested the removal of the reputation bar (as well as the FB share and Twitter tweet buttons), and have requested the Today’s Post query, poster locations and OP designation be returned when they get to that point in the process.

Is there a way to present “Today’s Posts” so when you click on it you only get posts that are horse related? I have never come to COTH to read current events or the “off topic” posts. I would prefer not to wade through all that to get to the posts that I come to COTH to read and that is HORSES!
I have always appreciated COTH being the one place I could go to where I didn’t get stuff that I could otherwise see on the news. One can get current events etc. on other social media sites. I just don’t understand why it was added here.
Will this change?

Seems that many like that “today’s posts” tab as is?
If you enter thru the “forum” tab right after the “home” tab, you can see the forums and which ones have new posts without being irritated by those you don’t like when clicking on the “today’s posts” tab.
I do that, not because of something I may not like to see in the “today’s post” tab, but the “forum” tab seems faster to get around for me.

Have there been any posts where people are saying they like the current events and off topic listed in the today’s posts?
I have been using the Today’s post tab here for years (way too many) and even Mod 1 says that the list previously excluded all sections of Off Topic. It is a change that is on the list (or that is how I read the posts) of rationalizations still waiting to happen.
Having to go thru every forum to see the new posts takes more time (when today’s posts is working correctly).
I don’t have a dog in that fight, whatever is chosen will be fine and all will adapt, is the way things work out.
Thanks for giving your opinion, as a user of that tab, it carries much weight.
just a note, many of the dogs have left as the Active Members count is now down to 3,754 (noon June 18th)
over one thousand have not returned… Active Members: 3,678 as of June 20th 8am
