sites for XC vests, used or inexpensive?

Can people point me in the direction of facebook groups or sites where a family could find a XC vest for a growing 13-year-old who’s just getting started with eventing? She will likely use it a handful of times this summer and fall and then by next spring, I’d be surprised if it still fit. She’s a late bloomer and an unusual shape, so borrowing from someone else isn’t working. thanks!

edited to add: would love to find something used, so they don’t make a $300 investment and find it outgrown before it even has a chance to get dirty!

We bought our then 11 year old daughter a XS tipperary vest on craigslist 3 years ago and then last year we upgraded to a medium which we found on our local craigslist. You can check other cities craigslist and see if they will ship. I see a ton on Ebay and some Facebook groups are Eventing tack for sale and your local eventing organizations.

There are some Facebook groups - English Riding Apparel is a big one. Most USEA Areas have one and people often post things there.

the Flex Riders are inexpensive (i believe less than $100 new) and also BETA certified.

Might this fit? It’s new but about 50% off.

ETA: I have a Flex Rider that I bought (when I was 13 actually) mostly because of the price. (My true love is dressage so I didn’t want to go all out on eventing gear.) It still sort of fits me, I think, but I can’t stand that thing. It is bulky and stiff, and by the end of a ride I have bruises above my collarbone from the shoulder straps. When I get my young horse going and start eventing again, I’m going to look for something else. Want to buy mine, lol?

Why did I not see the Flex Riders last year when I was looking? Good price, decent design - look like Charles Owen imitations. Will recommend! and I’ll send them to the other suggestions for finding used. Unfortunately she’s not a child’s size, she’s an adult size and growing, so it may be a longer search.

Call horseman’s outlet and ask them what they have used in vests - i saw a couple there last time i was out. Once they give you the brand and the size you can go to the manufacturer website and look up the measurements. I was able to pick up a really nice cashel there a few years ago for $40…

The Smartpak store always has a plethora of them. I would probably call and ask if they have any in your required size. They may just send them to you.

I accidentally won a LamiCell last year on Ebay. I LOVE it and pretty cheap Charles Owen knock off.

It is a level 3 certified vest and I found it at Chick’s for $90 for kids. I will say that Chicks is netorious for very very slow shipping so if time is of the essence look else where.

ETA: new link

I would check eBay. I found a hit-air vest with tags still on for an amazing price!
