It looked like Reed lost her stirrup before/during her second rail.
Wooohooooh!!! Henrik a clear round with Allerdings!! GO SWEDEN!
:D:D:D:D:D
Two hind rails for Reed - the first one just looked like the horse popped her rider up a little too soon, and dropped a hind leg. The second was just a rub. Otherwise a GREAT round for a young kid!! (Though, honestly, George and Katie didn’t look too happy…)
US really needs a clear from Rich now, in danger of not making the 2nd round.

George hasn’t looked too happy with any of the US’s rounds so far…

I noticed that too - I thought that was amazing of her! How a coach could not be happy with that round by a 17 yo??
Between Kevin Staut and Penelope Leprevost, the French are just a cliche of style and elegance. I don’t think it’s very fair on the rest of us. Wish they were having a better day - I wanted USA gold and France silver!
And I think we just saw why Katie is always taking away Reed’s stirrups - so that she can lose one and look like nothing happened:) I thought that was a great, cautious but steady round - the second rail was such bad luck.

Because this is the Olympics and he’d like US to win?

Because she’s not any 17 yo- she’s a 17 yo on the olympic team
She’s 18. She turned 18, 18 days before the olympics.
It was respectable. She got unlucky–those weren’t huge rider errors. MMB went right before her and had 2 rails also. It isn’t the end of the world. I’d say the foot in the water was more rider error. And it’s asking a lot of ANYONE, let alone someone in their first Olympics, to make up for the first 2 riders faults.

Well, expect the more experienced riders to deliver clear rounds and realize that this round of her was bloody good and that you probably will have a medallist in Rio called Reed Kessler after giving her the possibility to experience an Olympics as a teammember and not an anchor…
Just got a bit more news about Tiffany Foster’s horse had a cut underneath a boot. I’m guessing the appeal didn’t work, would have been very surprised if it had really.
Sad but sounds like he will live to fight another day.
Canada still sitting in 3rd overall. Woot!
Faraway: lol @ taking up pole dancing! It’s a good exercise! lol

I didn’t say it wasn’t a good round- I just meant that just because she’s young doesn’t mean she shouldn’t be held to the same standards as the other team members (and I think she’s done remarkably well and proven that she deserves her spot on the team, not disagreeing with you there)
How does ownership work? HH Farms owns Brazil’s Rebozo, but the Harrisons are American.
oh crap!!! The skies look like there are about to open on Rich!!!
What happened the Canadian rider?.. should have gone before Rich Fellers.
I love this horse!!! Go Flexible!
YAYAYAYAYAY RICH!!!
Way to go Rich and Flexible! They are amazing!
I was so nervous throughout the course- I was jumping every fence with him! Way to pull out a clear Rich, we needed it. Love flexible!!
