SJ Wednesday- Individual Round

Lynch had a positive hypersensitivity test in Aachen. That was his 3rd in 12 months. Not suggesting wrongdoing. The team decided to add Cian as his horse was on form and drop Dennis. We didn’t have a team. Only 2 individuals.

This comment doesn’t belong, that is four years ago, and personally I think we should be celebrating all three medalists for great performances rather than living in the past.

It was nail-biting to the end. I was disappointed that Nick Skelton had the rail down, but - really - everyone of the top riders deserved a medal. The riders and horses just keep getting better and better

Clear for Cian with 1 yucky time fault!! 80.02! Seems like his mare did a ton of head shaking throughout the course.
Loyd is a gelding, and has always shook his head in excitement.

So frustrated. Video keeps freezing, so I’ve only seen the first 3 riders. :frowning:

It was actually 8 years ago if you can believe it, seems hard to imagine it was that far back now.

I too am delighted that the Irish news will have something positive to report on the Olympics tonight.

Whoops… my apologies.

Let’s see if O’Connor can hold onto his medal this time.
Again, why when other high profile riders lose medals for the same thing it’s quite ok.

That guy works his ass off and he deserves this.

Ooops you are right, it was 8 years ago. All the more reason not to bring the subject up.

I´m not sure if it´s excitement, sooner “CAN DO THIS MYSELF - LET GO OF ME”…But much worse before… I think Cian has done a great job with him, much more obedient…

I never said that it was okay for ANY BNR to get a pass on drugging horses for performance. I don’t think several of the Saudis should have been there given their recent drug issues. I don’t give a pass to the Germans either.

Waterford Crystal was being injected with human antipsychotic medication and that lead to the forfeiture of his gold medal. Hopefully his current horse will be clean. Since all medal winners are drug tested, we’ll find out.

let’s pu the blame where it belongs!

actually, it should really be "let’s see if the IOC :yes:can do a better job of insuring the integrity of the specimens :cool:this time

Sorry, but has there been a break in the chain of evidence before? Regarding CoC?

Does anyone have the final placings (not just medals). Where did Rich end up? Thanks.

Not sure of the rest, but Rich ended up 8th.

Lucyshow, see if you can google Break-in Heightens Cian O’Connor Mystery which was a great story by Nancy Jaffer on Equisearch. First get popcorn.
P.S. so sorry that Casall was withdrawn. He & Tornesch are hotties.

I was VERY PROUD of Rich and Flexi, and I’m sure Rich is pleased with his horse. Only one rail in all those rounds is nothing to sneeze at. Lots of carrots for that boy!

Felt so bad for Nick. He really wanted this one, but of course he’s not exactly going home empty-handed.

I have no issue with the Gold and Silver medal winners - those are NICE horses and I think very well-ridden, too.

apparently so

I believe that the last time; the specimens were sent by armored car :cool:after some of the vials were tampered with; I’m sure someone here remembers the details;)
