Sleep N' Time, bay QH Gelding - maybe in PA?

He has probably passed away by now, because he’d be ancient, but I would love to know if anyone knows what happened to Sleepy. Sleepy was a 16.1h bay AQHA gelding - built like a warmblood, moved beautifully. He had a big scar on his right front leg from a fight that he lost with the wire fence, up by the thigh, that was kind of lumpy, but had healed. He had a funny crooked snip on his nose, and from what I remember a pretty stripe. I’m going to have to see if my mother has any pictures of us, because I think he had 3 white socks (short) but I don’t really remember.

He was an english horse, but did neckrein and did wonderful flying lead changes. If you were cantering down a stretch of road, he’d swap back and forth periodically.

He always required shoes with pads, but trailrode beautifully. I used to go up onto the mountain with him and trail ride him all day, jumping on the trail etc. He wasn’t quite bombproof - had a good spook in him, but it was a standing spook - he rarely spun and bolted. Totally 100% hated cows and drainpipes.

I was forced to sell him by an uncooperative and abusive boyfriend in 1994. He was sold through my ex-trainer to a man in Bryn Mawr (also from what I remember) for an okay price at the time. The man never changed his registration in the AQHA database, and because of the situation I was in, I ended up with no bill of sale and just a certified check.

I’ve looked for him often over the last 10 years, but no one ever responded. I keep an eye on all the rescues “just in case”…I miss him.

I’d just like to see if he had a good life. Like I said, by now I’m sure he has passed away as I think he was born in 1982 or 1984 (I don’t have access to the AQHA database anymore). If he hasn’t, I would love to offer him a retirement home. I would also love to know if there are any of his relatives around - he was by a sire called Skip N’ Time, and at least the geldings all looked like Sleepy…

Thanks.
