Slip Board Fence in Michigan/Midwest

We are currently looking at getting a slip board fence for our property as we are looking for easy repair and we enjoy the aesthetics of the type of fence. Unfortunately we live in Michigan and I have been searching everywhere for a place that carries slip board fencing, but nobody does. I haven’t been able to find anyone in surrounding state either. Whenever I type in “slip board fence” in Google, about 10 places in Pennsylvania show up and most of them don’t deal with business outside of their own state.

Does anyone know of a place in Michigan or one of the surrounding states that carries slip board fencing?

I’ve never heard of slip board fencing. Is that another (maybe regional) term for a split rail fence? Or is it something different?

Yea it’s different in terms of the look. Same concept, but split rail is usually that hard looking/round cedar timbers and slip board has smooth posts and smooth rails that are 1x6 boards usually in 10 foot lengths. They just slip into a notch on the posts and don’t get nailed in. Easy install and maintanence and has a very clean and neat look. But it seems nobody around the Midwest has the products and there are about 20 places in Pennsylvania that have them but nobody ships to Michigan.

I think it really is a regional thing. We lived in Pennsylvania for 3 years and the place we rented had slip board fencing. I had never seen it before and I haven’t seen it since.
