Slip resistant ramps?

I have a wooden deck off my back door with a ramp down (about 3’) to the yard. The dogs also have a ramp from their doggy door to their pen.
I have used grip strips on them for traction. Problem is, they start to fray and come up within a year, even with superglue added underneath. So I was thinking of using something like sand & paint for a more permanent solution (not currently painted)

Any experiences or suggestions?

Ooops! Meant to go in Off Topic!

You might use a strip of the green grass-look carpet for grip. Carpet stores sell it by the foot, so any length is available. Made for outside uses.

These guys have it covered ! http://www.slipdoctors.com/products.asp

Thanks! Have you used the slipdoctor’s tuff?

I use this on out door ramps. Attach with screws and washers.

Our local hawk trailer dealer sold me their slip resistant mat for my trailer. It is SO nonslip it is hard to clean unless you use a hose.
