Forum running very slow after being offline last night - some pages seem to open close to normal running time, others time out & now getting the “site off line” message again (this has been an ongoing issue for several months now as the forum has migrated servers, etc)

Are you having these issues predominantly in the wee hours of the morning/night? Or does it persist throughout the day? How is it today?

I don’t know how it’s going with alto, but I’ve noticed it several times, both yesterday and today.

Wasn’t on today until your wee hours (I suspect) - I’m west coast so yeah probably a good bit is just night maintenance … but recently I was noticing the issues during the day/early evening as well (just COTH so convinced it’s not my local server).
Sometimes the time out persists over several minutes (long enough to “go away”), other times it’s very fleeting.
Just had the same slow…slow…s.l.o.w…s…l…o…w…offline
Checked back in 10 & site was running & I’m still logged in
ETA Now just had a Gateway 504 Timeout … but then a refresh showed the post went through! (oops twice!)
Definite deep breaths before forum responds, then several more while forum deeply considers whether my words should be recorded for posterity.

Are their any forums or activities that are particularly slow, or does it seem totally random?
Have you tried logging off and logging back on, and/or clearing your cookies?

I generally log on/off - haven’t cleared cookies for a few weeks.
Have noticed similar issues with iPhone but put that down to signal issues rather than forum.

It seems random - possibly more sticky on the preview/submit post keys BUT I may also just note the effect more at this time.

I noticed that posts seemed down & began to wonder if others were experiencing similar issues but not mentioning anything …
Forum still seems slower than “normal” (occasional server timed out windows) with some intermittent “offline” bouts; Search is definitely slow
