SmartPak VS Platinum CJ

Hi All,

I am looking to change from Platinum CJ to a couple of Smarkpaks - Smartvite Thrive and Smartflex combo.

Mostly due to the very high cost of CJ now. It’s just becomming exhorbitant.

Thoughts?

my friend has tried it, and as per price, it does the job well. https://dltutuapp.com/tutuapp-download/

For a feed-through available in SmartPaks, I’d go for a Cosequin product over the SmartFlex line. Cosequin is one of the few research-backed joint supplements. Cosequin ASU is most similar to what’s in CJ, and has more Glucosamine, Chondroitin, MSM, and ASU. It’s $2.38/day in SP compared to $6.14/day for CJ in a 10lb bucket (29 day supply). It would be helpful to know what the rest of the diet is before making a Vit/mineral supplement suggestion.

To be honest, though, my preference would be to invest in an injectable like Adequan or Legend over a feed-through joint supplement. It’s much more targeted support at a lower total cost over time. Is that something you’ve tried or discussed with your vet?

Oddly enough my vet just suggested Adequan and then regular platinum, which to me is at least reasonably priced. I did the math and it saves me aboutn $600 a year with this model instead of just doing Platinum CJ. CJ costs about $2235 per year and moving to Adequan and regular Platinum would be around $1600. So I am going to go that route.
