Can someone who is more knowledgeable about nutrition tell me what they think of the new Vitamin E liquid from Smartpak? They claim their formula is more bioavailable, but seems very inexpensive for a natural Vitamin E liquid supplement. I’ve been using the Santa Cruz Natural Vitamin E powder, feeding 1/2 scoop per day. I don’t think my horses need 2000 IU of Vitamin E daily, and if I can give just 1000 IU of the Smartpak version and it is more bioavailable, this would be a cheaper option.

This appears to be pretty much the same as Custom Equine Nutritions Emcelle which one of the better, if not best bangs for your buck for natural liquid vitamin E.
SP 32oz = $114.95
CEN 32oz = $122 but always ships free
Both use d-alpha-tocopherol.
Nice! I rarely buy from them so not familiar with their shipping policies.
CEN is a small family business which is worth a couple extra bucks to me. Nicole is super knowledgeable and helpful with questions as well which is great. Shipping is FAST with them too. I can put in an order and usually get it within a day or two.
Thanks for this link! I do like to support small businesses when I can!
Yes, it’s another water-soluble version, like Emcelle, Elevate WS, and functionally the same as Nano-E (which is nano-dispersed rather than micellized), and is the same cost IF you buy the big bottle on autoship (but barely any more $ for one-time purchase).
BUT, it comes with a syringe, where Emcelle comes with a pump.
You’d have to catch a good sale to make that worth it, and even then I’d be pouring it into an opaque bottle with a pump, or buying a pump to fit that bottle
And yes, I love Nicole and support her and others like her when I can
