SmartPaks Now Available in Canada

I just received an email from SmartPak saying that they are now offering SmartPaks for shipping to Canada.

Looking at their site, it says expected shipping time is 3-6 days.

I’m not in need of them, but I’m interested to find out if the available supplements are limited (due to differing DIN requirements, ie. some supps don’t have Drug Identification Numbers for Canada, so I don’t think they’d be able to send them across the border). Also wondering about possible Customs issues, although I would hope they’d already thought about that.

I wonder also if this means they’ll ship other products across the border now, as they never have before.

Off to poke around the website some more…

Answering some of my own questions for others who may be interested:

The supplements available to ship to Canada are limited - there are 20 choices.
SP still does not ship anything else to Canada.

I would also expect that with shipping delayed due to COVID, it will take longer than 3-6 days in many cases. Smartpak is based in Massachusetts. I live in Vermont and it still takes 3-4 days for packages to make it to me.

I dont think supplements have drug information numbers.

My thought as well. I know you guys have had USPS delays, and we’ve had Canada Post delays here. One of our major processing hubs in Ontario is in the midst of an outbreak and mail is crawling.

You may be right, although I remember a few years ago that anything with HA got pulled off the shelves up here, and every manufacturer had to obtain DINs for their products. Many/most of the American companies never bothered and so our selection was hugely reduced. That was for feed-through products with HA, not injectibles, which I think would be considered supplements?

Is there a section or list on SP’s site outlining products available for shipping to Canada?

There is a Canada- specific site so it shows only the available products. https://www.smartpakequine.ca/

Thanks! Not much on the list of items available but a good start!
