So- Arrogate VS CC? Lookin' good!

Looks like Coolmore sold out their spot to Juddmonte. Here we go!

I’m surprised that Coolmore sold its spot but I’m looking forward to the match up.

Coolmore still owns the spot for 2018 and beyond. This “sale” was for 2017 only.

i think its going to be a very good race and not just between arrogate and CC either. the post position draw will be everything.

Arrogate surprised with the upset in the breeders cup but he certainly didn’t run away with it like he did in the travers

Nice to see some sportsmanship returning racing to its roots of “Mines faster then yours is and I’ll prove it”, instead of picking easy spots…much as I also understand protecting the horse’s record and the horse itself.

Two still young stallions destined for the breeding sheds, arguably best of the best currently racing? Taking each other on? With a slight possibility of another upstaging them? What’s not to like?

Sounds like a movie script with two equally handsome leading men.

I’m hoping to see California Chrome to out on top, much like Beholder did in the Distaff.

Mattress Mack (Runhappy’s owner) bought a horse for his slot. A group 1 winner from Argentina. Here’s the article:

To be trained by the Wohlers woman. I know he’s been through a boat load of other trainers. I wonder if no one else will train for him now?

I’m guessing it’s more that he’s only wanting one trainer (that may have always been the case, I’m not sure) and Wohlers is his sister in law.

Looks like Keen Ice is in.

As for Arrogate, I’ll see how he goes in the San Pasqual on Sunday at SA before I call the CC v Arrogate contest

Please report on that effort for those of us who won’t be able to watch. Pegasus aside, like to see if he can run back to his BC form.
