So I did a thing today

Do you think Itty Bitty will be a DEEP thinker too ???

hahahaha- maybe she’ll learn by osmosis. good thought though.

The only thing she thinks deeply about is where the next meal is coming from!

No, he’s not a typical cat, and never has been - from the moment I first saw him, he was different.

I can understand that type of DEEP thinking … I need breakfast !

What was ‘different’ about him when he was younger?

Well, remember that the first time I saw him, he was hanging from a barbed wire fence … but his eyes met mine, and there was just this total sense of recognition on his end, almost like FINALLY, there you are! Where HAVE you been! Don’t leave me! He knew I was his only chance. He KNEW it, at 6 weeks.

He also took it hard when we lost his uncle Rascal this time last year. He looked for him and got depressed for a bit (even though there were 7 other cats in the house to hang with).

He also has a bedtime, and he has taught this to the Itty-bitty - it’s almost like he enculturated her! About 9, he comes and meows a special meow at me, and I will go fix their food and put them in their crates for the night. They eat, and then they go to sleep. Before Itty-bitty, he used to freak out if I slept in - almost like he had panic attacks. So I have to hold him for a minute in the morning, tell him he’s not abandoned, and then he’s fine. Since Itty-bitty came, though, most of that has stopped.

He sounds like such a special boy! We already know that Itty Bitty is special too!

And Nigel is extra special too ~ hope he is feeling better this weekend ~ Jingles & AO !

I think perhaps A&B’sMom is just a grand cat owner and cats are lucky to land in her house !

I agree! Cat heaven for all of them! Lucky kitties!

Ella wakes up from a sound sleep and if she doesn’t see anyone right away she cries out loudly in a panic until she sees or hears me. She’s 8 now and I can still hear the fear in her meows and it breaks my heart.

Hammie and Itty Bitty remind me so much of Ralph and Ella. Ralph was rescued as a kitten from a bad situation and still has issues because of it but Ella has helped him greatly and he has helped her as well.

It’s been an absolute joy to watch Ralph and Ella grow up together and form an extremely strong bond that can’t be broken, I think you’re in for a similar experience with these two.

Yup. My collection also typically include possums and skunks. In fact, for a while I had a young skunk that came when I called 'kitty kitty kitty.

:cat: Now, now, she’s a Growing Girl!
Once she gets grown, she may divert some of that to pondering deeper thoughts than “Where’s my FOOD!”

Speaking of itty-bitty and Ham and that magical bond - here they were last night. Yes, she is digging her little claws into him.

^^, Hamm is deciding whether he likes mini claws or not. He’s such a peach. :innocent:

Given the growls I was hearing, he definitely did NOT like!

Kitten Lesson #221 Do Not Inflict Hamms with tiny claws poking in and out.

Did independent Miss Itty abide him or say STFU Uncle Hamms?
