Did vet suggest anti-nausea medicine? When our Leia was sick once, we got her eating more with the meds, then the food actually helped settle her tummy. I guess the hunger gnaw feeling was making her wary of eating.

No, but I did wonder if a dose of Mirtaz would help. I will try that in a bit.

would a dropper full of 7-up be out of line?

I did give her a little Mirtaz in the ear - about half an hour later, she begged for food and actually ate about 2tsp. She gets her antibiotic in a bit, as soon as I can find her, corner her, hold her down, and get it into her (the first time I tried it yesterday, she held it in her mouth, then spat it back out when I let her go).

Jingles for the Bitty! I hate when its those non-specific symptoms. Good though that she is still up to her naughty pranks.

Bitty - stop spitting your meds on your mom! SHE doesn’t need them - you do!

Cats can still feel breeding urges even after spayed or neutered. These urges could cause the affected cat to become moody and/or irritable which could cause them to go off their food temporarily.

I had wondered about this - she was spayed in December, at just about 6 months. It was a bit later than i wanted, but the earliest appointment I could get for her.

She cleaned up her supper, though! Ate an entire 3oz can of food over about a 3-hour period, and ate a little more at bedtime, too.

That’s good, hopefully she’s back on track.

Both my Ella and Billie go through what I call phantom heat urges twice a year when cat’s heat cycles appear. They’re older and used to them now so it doesn’t affect their appetites anymore. I have to laugh when Ella gets all flirty and friendly with the Kittens With Mittens. They respond to her very uncharacteristic niceness towards them and then…BAM!, straight to the moon!

:clap:For the return of IttyBitty’s nomming!

I’m sure you know this, but if you hold her a tad longer after giving meds & while holding her mouth shut, stroke her throat it will trigger a swallow reflex.
I know, sounds like you need 3 hands to do it

How is the cute little internet sensation feeling today? I hope she is on the mend!

She’s about the same - she is still eating a little, at least, and zooming all over the house. She has decided she prefers the Fiends’ ProPlan to her usual Fancy Feast, so that’s what she’s getting for now.

Not sure if it’s worth stressing her with another vet visit, or to whether I should let things roll a bit and see how she does over the next 24 hours.

Zooming is good! Give her a kiss from her fans please.

Okay okay - she was doing fine until this morning, when she decided she didn’t want what I was offering for breakfast. I gave her something else and she ate that. She’s already picked a fight with Maximus and tried to fight with Munch, but he refused to engage. She was very disappointed.

This one is from last night -

Thank you ! Saturday looks better already ! Perhaps the little ‘angel’ just wants a different take-out menu ??

Inquiring minds want to know ? Is that delicious cheesecake gone ??

Thanks again ! Enjoy your Saturday !
ps I hope your brother steps in dog shit !

The cheesecake is not gone, but after I clean Fox’s stall (I just realized that the wheelbarrow was killed in our last ice storm, when a tree branch fell on it), I will probably eat it!

I suspect Itty-bitty does prefer other food now - perhaps her palate has evolved as she’s matured …

And I wish far worse for my brother, believe me!
