SO SO SO excited about Soprano!!

I bred my Weltmeyer/Batido/Bolero mare to Soprano last year; took on one insemination. The resulting filly is probably the best horse I’ve ever produced. She handily won her RPSI inspection with 8.2 for conformation (she was only 2.5mos old and still not totally straightened out in front…if we’d had one more month she would have scored higher) and a whopping 8.6 for movement!!

When the year-end results were tallied, she tied for 2nd in the nation of ALL the fillies inspected…Reserve Champion!!

Unfortunately don’t have any video of the inspection, but here’s some brief footage taken of her when she was barely 30 days old, playing after a cooling rain shower.

She’s shed out to be a black bay…still has that white nose~

We’ll be repeating the cross this spring. Hoping for a colt so I can sell it (already picking out stallions for the filly).

Loved your video, Kyzteke!! What a girl!

Thanks Siegi!! A thumbs up from an experienced, successful breeder such as yourself really means something. The filly actually looks much better now…at least she looked better a few months ago before she grew 8 tons of hair to prepare for an ID winner. But oh, her movement!!! Even with hard ground and rotten footing she just is an incredible mover! And bold and brassy too!

Nice foal. Lovely type.

I remember Arthur and I showing Alain video of Soprano years and years ago… way back when Arthur was still in medical school. We all used to stay till past closing at a Chinese restaurant that was about 20 minutes from Butler, with Alain and Gayle, all of us talking about our dreams. That was back when we were young, and fresh and a bit naïve about things.
