soft shell equine couture coats

Anyone have one& how is it holding up?

Have heard very mixed reviews about these jackets. The price point is great but they don’t look as though they are made very well.

I love mine! Washes well, has held up great. One of the seams at the back let loose after the first year, but I tacked it back up in no time. Super comfy, nice and cool, and I think looks really nice.

I just ordered one of these and also the Horseware jacket. I liked the look of the EC jacket better but the fit was very strange. I can usually fit into jackets off the rack, but I found this to be tight in the shoulders and bunching in odd places. Even though it was the right size, it just didn’t hang right. It also had no lining which made it look kind of cheap, but since no one sees that I didn’t mind. The Horseware jacket had a much more streamlined look and seems to be thinner/cooler even with the liner.

I have an older Equine Couture wool coat that I bought used a few years ago (for $25 on Ebay), and it’s held up perfectly through several show seasons.

Love the way mine fits and feels, but haven’t worn it enough to see how well it holds up. I also bought the Horseware soft shell and I actually like the EC one better!

I’ll let you know in a few days. My new one is en route to me now.

I thought it was really cheaply made and cheap looking. I much preferred the Horseware Competition Jacket, but the single vent bothered me so I ended up returning them both.

RJ’s and Grand Prix both have a basic soft shell at about the $200 price point (check Farm House) and while neither fit me (grr) I thought the extra $100 was very worth it.

depends on which EC soft shell , They have 5 different ones, I like the way the Raliegh fits best9 Black collar) but the ingate one which is heavier hangs the best , I dont really like the Triumph, it is kinda bunchy

I bought one for my daughter and it’s been great, washes well, but is a little boxy… We just ordered some show shirts made by EC, and they are fantastic (feel nicer than the talent yarn).

I have worn mine for 2 years now. I had to have the arms shortened even though I’m 5’8 or a bit taller. It does bunch in weird places, but I’m chunky so I’m not sure if that’s my rolls or the jacket. I could probably lose weight then let you all know?

yes the new Jenna and Kelsey shirts are an excellent buy
