One of my horses has an acute bout of laminitis …we’ve been icing in buckets but that is a big pain , and messy. Are these Softride Ice Spa Boots Worth the money ?? I want to get whatever the easiest and best boots/system ??
I use the boots by Ice Horse.

I bought mine in 2012 when my IR horse foundered pretty bad. I have used them a lot. I put them on while he is eating his feed pan stuff in his stall, while I go about my other barn business for ~20 minutes.
Use them twice daily.
My horse may walk to his hay tube or he may stand still. He is a very laid back horse and never tries to knock them off.
whatever ice boots you buy (get two just in case, if you can afford to:). They are the best thing:). Do not have to worry about softening an already compromised sole and you can go about your other business for those 20 minutes:)
I have the regular soft ride boots for two cases of laminitis that resolved. They are fantastic. I did soak my horse in a flat pan. She would stand quietly for an hour and it seemed to give her significant relief. those ice boots on the soft ride website look amazing. I might have bought some if I had know or thought bout it.
I know that I already mentioned this, but I highly recommend that you buy a full set of the Softride boots with the laminitis inserts for your horse to live in while she’s in pain. These are wonderful for providing some sense of comfort. They are expensive but well worth it for pain management.
