Someone to add zippers to old field boots? Atlanta area or elsewhere

I have an old pair of pull-on field boots that are in great condition, but are too tight, so I want to add a zipper and gusset for comfort and convenience and use them for schooling at home. Can anyone recommend someone who will do a good job, either in the Atlanta area or somewhere that I could send them off to be done?

I would also like to know this, for the Atlanta metro!

I checked to see who Atlanta Saddlery uses, and apparently to add a zipper rather than repair one, they suggest sending to Journeymen in Virginia.

Woodys in Wellington has added & replaced zippers for my family and each time they’ve been prompt, reasonable, and they’re easy to work with via mail.

Pisano’s at www.ridingbootrepair.com. They do excellent work and it is not difficult to ship the boots to Pennsylvania, if you are not able to find someone local. I found Woody’s prices to be quite a lot higher but his work is excellent as well.

Edit: Hmmmm…just checked clicking on my own link and their site is down. Try calling. 610-436-4883

I think Atlanta Luggage Repair will do it.

I take all of my boots to Old Alabama Shoe Repair

The guy is very knowledgeable and is very familiar with riding boots. I am not sure about adding zippers, but it is worth a try. He is very nice!

On second thought, call The Snooty Fox (http://snootyfox.net/) and ask who they recommend… I think there is someone else that is good, but I can’t remember the name.

I’ve been looking too, but the whole thing just makes me nervous. I’ve decided to send mine back to Vogel for zippers…
I just bought some inexpensive Mountain Horse boots to make do with and I kind of like them, so now there’s no rush
