For all you Heraldik fans - his stallion son Ekwador and rider Katarzyna Milczarek have been named to the Polish Olympic dressage team.
So happy for the Poles - it will be the first time in 22 years they have sent a dressage team to the Olympics!

Wow, very powerful-looking horse! Thanks for sharing. What’s the damline?
what stallion would you use for a Heraldik daughter?
I might have the chance at this broodmare and I breed for eventing. I was thinking Windfall, Cruising or Kannan but…you Heraldik fans are more in the know.
Would greatly depend on your mare’s dam line too.
You can look at some of the other crosses for UL event horses and see how that has turned out as well. For example Mighty Magic is out of a Heraldik dam. If your mare’s dam line is WB or heavy, I would want to go with more blood like they did with Mightly Magic. If the dam line has a lot of blood, the opens your options more. All the sires you posted, breeding for eventing, I would only use if the mare has a lot more blood than just her sire.

Forgive me, I haven’t mastered the cut/paste highlight function. Thank you for your post.
the heraldik dtr I’m considering is 66% tb blood (volbloed wordt berekend) heraldik x landgraf.
I’ve been doing the pedigree crunching on upper level horses but that doesn’t mean I can get a nice baby with a 3/4 sib. (great minds think alike…I’m only mediocre, tho)
One stallion I thought was a good option got poo-poo-ed as everyone who owns one of his babies swore they’d never want another.
Well I just purchased an awesome Cristallo II filly out of a Heraldik xx-Watzmann-Imperator mare coming from a very prolific Hanoverian dam line. That cross has certainly worked out extremely well!
Always loved Heraldik xx and thought it a shame he wasn’t more accepted by Hanovers breeding authorities. Besides they run and run and run, I remember when I was little I already found Heraldik xx offspring doing well in the first FN yearbooks I was reading for christmas. Now some 25+ yrs later they still rock and it’s not too long ago since the old man himself died…
Got to love that stamina and versatility…
Yeah…not one you want to use. It is always hard–what looks good on paper can not turn out like we expect:lol:
You are very lucky with a Heraldik mare…
Heraldik/Landgraf mare probably has quite a good jump. I think Crusing wouldn’t be good…they tend to be quirky and you already have pleanty of jump in your pedigree. Windfall isn’t a bad thought…he has a lot of blood, name recogn. and I’ve seen some very nice offspring by him. I really like my Grafenstolz foal…and have liked others that I’ve seen. Very typey…but that might not be enough blood for you although the ones I’ve seen from cross mares have still been typey. I just don’t know as much about Trak. breeding to know how the lines would mesh.
Heraldik/ Matcho seems a popular cross in Europe. Might be worth looking at some Matcho sons.
I had heard that some folks might be getting Laurel frozen and imported into the US (son of Stan the Manxx). That might be really interesting for your mare.
Also I would look at Marcus Deak xx–you can get frozen through Classic Sires I believe

He’s produced several UL eventers. I was looking at between him and Jaguar Mail for one of my mares. I’m personally leaning toward JM but have changed my mind many times before;)
of course not just your mare’s pedigree or the sire…but looking close at the conformation etc Good luck…picking the date is the fun part…then waiting forever to see if you pick right drives me nuts!
thanks kareen!
I also thought perhaps, Cevin Z, cuz that dang mare Borough Pennys (London Olympics/Italian team) made me swoooooon.
