Son of Holy Bull

would love some further insight into this Pedigree. There are some in it that I really love for sport and have breed to him for this reason but always appreciate learning more. TIA

I stalked him on FB because his pedigree intrigued me:

Great Above over Northern Dancer/double Ribot/Hoist the Flag is about as “jumpy” as you get on paper.

Yes he does have some very legit lines and I bred my mare to him already. Axe is a hard to find line also and I had an Axe mare who produced 2 amazing athletes … just wondered about other names in there and whats proven to produce sport horses, thanks!

I have a grandson, extremely athletic.

how is their trainability? mind

I really like Holy Bull horses. Generally good, honest animals and quite trainable. I wish he could have left us more sons at stud.

I have a Holy Bull grandson - honest, trainable, athletic, doesn’t hold amateur mistakes against rider. I will say he is extremely transparent about his feelings, which may put off some

This has been my experience as well. Spot on description.

Gin is a grandson of Holy Bull. It’s a sample size of one, but I’ve been very impressed.

Just watch out for any neurologic diseases as this amazing mindset horse when diagnosed with cervical arthritis and minor ataxia was still giving 110% to do his best at everything and his own body was the issue. It led to frustrating times for both of us.

This is an excellent way to describe it. I can tell when mine is in a bad mood before I even go into the stall. Good mood horse will walk through fire to hear the words “good boy”. Bad mood horse, while still following the rules, will make it very clear he wants nothing to do with any of your bullshit today.
