Songbird is incredible! I was happy to see our filly match strides with her for most of the race.

Congrats, LaurieB!!!

Required to work yesterday. Ugh. But luck my lunch set at 1 instead of 12, so I got to tune in my tablet and watch. Kept trying to figure out why I knew her name so well. Of course! :o
(And love reading the footnotes to the chart!)

And so much fun to see Songbird back. I love when they’re obviously so happy to return to what they love.

Sorry, but I was rooting for Paid up Subscriber. Porter has won more than his fair share of the big ones.

Seems like Paid Up Subscriber should get her own thread

Kicked some booty in the Shuvee Handicap G3 at Saratoga on July 30.

Unfortunately came out of the Shuvee with fractured ankle :frowning: . Surgery was Wednesday, the 2nd, and currently out for the rest of the year. Unclear if she’ll be retired or not.

Laurie, you done good with this girl (even though I know you don’t own her any longer).

I will miss seeing her on the track as I’ve always felt some sort of “proprietary” interest in her as heaven knows I’ve never bred a TB at all and to “know” someone who’s bred such a nice performing mare is, at least for me, cool.

Just as “knowing” some of the others in this forum is “cool”

Oh, damn!
Just watched the replay, Laurie. Did she ever put them away. Then the narrative as she’s in the winner’s circle, and they’re saying, “Bred in Kentucky by Bruce and Laurie Berenson.”
And 32 &1/2 lengths!

She looked really good afterwards.
Hope everything’s straightforward from here on in.
