I know JTS (Tennessee) has closed, but they kept a saddle I consigned and I need to get back. Phone calls and e-mails go unanswered. Any recommendations? Or is the saddle gone forever?
Any advice would be helpful!! Thank you!

I wish I had advice for you. The same thing happened to me once–a tack shop that had a saddle of mine on consignment went out of business, and I never could get in touch with anyone to talk to me about getting it back. It may that it was confiscated as shop inventory. I never got my saddle back; may you have better luck than I did.
Did both stores close?
They both closed??? Did they close up their mobile services too?
Saddle was consigned with the mobile unit at Lexington (Va) Spring horse show… not sure about store closures but they certainly aren’t responding to any attempts at contacting them
I would keep an eye on e-Bay and see if she lists it there. Though I don’t know how you would be able to tell if it’s your saddle unless there’s something unique about it…I doubt she’ll list as Judy’s Tack Shop. But a thought.
Try contacting the office at Brownland (show is going on now) She use to have a store on site, maybe they can help you.
And try looking up both stores and call them if they are still open. One is in Franklin and one in Germantown.
There’s a Facebook group called Nashville Area Equestrians. It has a lot of members. Perhaps you could join that group and ask if anyone has contact info. Fingers crossed that you get your saddle back.
I would try to find out the attorney or law firm handling the liquidation.
Are they an LLC? Their company information may be public information - check with your state. It might give you more avenues of communication to pursue.
Germantown store was sold several years back and been closed quite a while.
I think there s a Florida location?? I only know folks that used to work there…so sorry. Not a fun situation.
Call the police in the town they were located in and file a report, like now.
Wouldn’t surprise me if she sold it and kept the money. She stole a box of Essex shirts sent UPS to my tack shop at HITS Ocala a few years ago (See “Midge” post for link to arrest info). She was also arrested for stealing saddles at that same venue. Police drove right down to her shop and walked her out in cuffs to the back of the police car.
I can confirm this as true as I was there and saw the police take her away. I sincerely hope you get your tack back, but I wouldn’t hold my breath. She’s had sticky fingers a long time .
Wait! The store changed ownership at some point, but I cannot remember when. This person may not have been the owner when it closed. It doesn’t fit with what I have heard about the owner.
No it didn’t she has owned it since I was a child and I saw her in Ocala this year. To clarify, it’s just the mobile unit in Ocala, she doesn’t have a storefront there.
When they divorced, Dave started Collierville Saddlery.
