South Central PA trainers?

I’m looking for trainer recommendations in south central Pennsylvania. A bit about me - I’m looking to begin riding again after about a decade away, but I showed extensively as a junior in a neighboring state and know some of the players in the area.

At first I’ll need something to ride but anticipate leasing or buying sooner than later. I think I’m aiming for the adult jumpers but rode hunters extensively as a kid and would consider it again.

I’m close to Harrisburg now but only leasing and would move to be more conveniently located.

Private messages are welcome too.

Thank you.

Are you committed to South Central PA? We have a really active Hunter scene, as you likely know. More limited on the Jumperland side. To do that competitively might mean closer the Philly or Baltimore/Frederick/Westminster.

Off the top of my head:

Bridget Gregory Rudiger (New Oxford)
Kelsey Bernini Lawrence (New Oxford)
Mary Bast (Littlestown)
Woodberry/Chris Hurlbert (York)
Ginger Parker (Glen Rock)

There are more, but those are the ones that came to mind.

If you wanted something a little more south, Peri/Katie/Kelle Fitzpatrick are in New Freedom, but there is a possibility that the farm is getting sold and they will move. Feel free to PM me with any questions. I don’t know if they all have horses who can be used in lessons (Fitzpatricks certainly do), but as far as I know most of them can make something work for someone who wants to get back into things.

I grew up riding with Peri Fitzpatrick and farting around in the fields with Katie. Highly recommend both.

Cindy Bohn might be the best fit Jumperwise. She has a great eye for a horse. I leased a hunter from her several years ago. Very good experience all around.
