My family and I are in the Fort Lauderdale area for a week long vacation. We’re looking for a nice place to go on a trail ride - all experienced riders. Ideally we’d love a beach ride but I’ve heard they’re not easy to come by around here. Any recommendations?
No beach rides in S. FL
The only public trail rides I can think of are at

There was one in Ft.Pierce Fl.I think it still operates. You can check with their parks and rec dept. I know there were horses on the beach(Fredrick Douglas park) last weekend.
Fredrick Douglas Beach Ft.Pierce Fl. did have rides.Check with their parks and rec. dept. There were horses/riders there last weekend.
There’s a barn at Sunshine Meadows in Delray Beach that does trail rides, not on the beach but I think they head out to the outer reaches of the Everglades near the facility.

Yeah, that’s Golden Gait. In Delray Beach on 441, just south of Atlantic.
Also Treetops Park in Davie has trail rides on weekends. They ride the same trails we do. For beach rides, check out the St Lucie County website about horse back riding. I think there is a link to the stable that has rides on the beach. If will be around a 1.5 to 2 hour drive from South Fla depending on where you are.
There is really nothing in the area except for a couple of beginner-level, plodding Western trail rides (the Treetops Park one mentioned above, and all the other options for trail rides are similar).
Unless you want to investigate St. Lucie, I’d just enjoy the area and perhaps venture up to WEF (45 minute drive) and check out the final events of season:
Hope you find a place. But don’t miss the final Saturday Night Lights with $500k Rolex Championship at Wellington Equestrian Festival.

For those who aren’t nearby , there is a live feed. Bellisimo also owns COTH. It really is thrilling watching world class jumping.
