So once my mare’s turn into a granuloma the only way to get rid of them is to inject with steroids (sometimes works) or cut them off. Obviously I never bothered having them cut off unless they were in a place that got rubbed by the tack. I did find, however, that if I apply hydrocortisone spray to the welts when they first appear, that usually prevents them from turning into granulomas.
Thanks. My horse’s mystery nose button (it was weird, perfectly centred on her upper lip about the diameter of and just a hair thicker than a nickel) remains a mystery. And now that I’ve been reminded of it, do you think I can remember why we decided not to bother doing a biopsy? No, no, I cannot. That too shall also remain a mystery. lol
Advertising is not allowed on this forum. Especially when you bump a nearly decade old thread to do it.
Since this WAS bumped (to advertise, by the same person whose last post bumped this up to advertise ):
Unbeetable Complete is on the market now, soy free , and a complete feed
Ok time to shut this thread down…it’s so old the mare I posted this about is not even alive anymore
Also, it turned out she was NOT allergic to soy, that was a false positive on a blood allergy test and I didn’t know any better at the time how inaccurate those tests can be.
Removed the advertising, banned the account this time, and closing the thread. Thanks!
