Spalding Bye Bye Fly Spray Allergy?

I feel like my gang is succumbing to every allergy around this year! What’s going on?! I’ve never had allergy issues in the past. My mini donkey was just allergy tested and has a load of things he can’t tolerate. Nearly 20!

I decided to try a bottle of the Spalding Labs Botanical Fly Spray. Smells nice. I just started using it this week, maybe 3x total. I noticed a big welt on my QH’s belly. Didn’t think much of it. The next day my WB mare had welts on her neck and belly too. And it was clearly in a line in the areas where I sprayed the fly spray. I gave her an antihistamine and all is well but I have never had that happen. I really felt like it was working too but seems I will have to scratch it from my fly war kit.

Any one else experience this? Not sure which ingredient would cause the reaction.

I’ve been using it for about two weeks now, and I spray twice daily. Haven’t had any adverse reactions with my three horses. I do dilute it about half and half with water.

It’s full of essential oils? Those are pretty notorious for setting off sensitive horses, unfortunately.

Yes it has many essential oils. Perhaps I should dilute it more and give it one more try.
