Yikes! Dressage and Eventing forums are inundated.
It is kind of crazy today! Hopefully they will get it removed quickly.
Looks like there are 3 different users doing the spamming ,and hitting the Eventing & dressage forums hard. All joined today too.
Using Today’s topics the page has one thread by a user (that is not spam) and the rest are spam.
Yikes is right! Hopefully that’s the end of 'em. Don’t know why the spam filter catches some of them, but lets others through, but such is life.
Back in action. Sorry about that folks!

@Moderator 1 There are more!
How do we prevent this sort of thing? Should maybe the mods approve new members before they may post? Or, new members may only post one post per day, until they reach a certain level?
I can see the thread now. A newbie has a real question, they post the question and people are asking for more information but the newbie can not respond until the allotted 24 hour hold on their one post has passed and then they can post one post, wait 24 hours, one post, wait 24 hours.
That would be one stressful thread for everyone.
Well, it was a thought… But we have a lot of smart people on the board here. We should be able to figure something out… Anyone else have an idea?
You know that’s a good idea new members should need approval before they can post… Can’t mods block people from their IP Address like the latest spammers.??
(Forget the one post a day they should have to wait 1 week before being able to post then only one post a day…for however long mods decide) ( sarcastic not serious here)
Please tell me this is a joke. (I am not seeing any sarcasm font so I am not sure.)
I was being sarcastic so no not serious. I’ll edit post to show that sorry.
What do they gain by this? I don’t get it.
Annoying a bunch of up tight horse owners?
So most people on here can read Japanese?
A translation site recognized Korean. I think they get paid by the post, so it really doesn’t matter where they put it.
I’ve sent a note to the developers to see if there’s something we can do to block these accounts better. Yesterday’s score was 1-1. One got through and hit us hard again, another one was caught and dropped something like 50 posts into the moderation queue that we could wipe out without them going live.
These guys are unfortunately timing their posts to hit every few minutes, so that works around the typical “floodgate” settings we have that prevent posts more frequently than x seconds. If we make that setting too restrictive, it would be a big hassle for real posters who are just trying to comment on actual posts.
Hopefully we can refine the spam management system to catch them another way.
Sorry for the trouble!

Sounds like a good plan.
Appreciate the efforts to corral the spamers. It can, I suspect, seem like a never ending job at times.
