The spam on the forums is HORRIBLE. Can’t COTH use better filters, or require a RECAPTCHA check for posts? It is out of hand.
Ironically, there is a spam post HERE, on the Help forum!
You really want a captcha for POSTS? The villagers would RIOT. That would be awful.
Spam always seems to have an uptick on off topic days. It quiets back down when that forum is closed.
I post on a newpaper site’s blog that requires RECAPTCHA for the first post. Then it sets you a cookie and you can continue posting for the rest of the day, even if you go to other websites. The next day, same procedure. It is very efficient at keeping out spammers.
