If you can do field boots instead of dress, the Ovation Flex Plus checks all your other boxes.
Ovation and Mountain Horse both have many boots that fit the bill. They have the most accurate online sizing I’ve seen. And you can often get many on sale. http://www.ovationriding.com/riding-boots-for-women/ovation-olympia-tall-show-boot-black-469590 https://www.horseloverz.com/english-riding-boots/tall-riding-boots/dress-dressage-boots/ovation-ladies-olympia-tall-boots
I have a similar issue in that I have a wide calf (16.75") and a size 7.5 foot and need a 17-17.5" height. Very few companies make something off the rack that fits.
Are you looking to use these everyday? Or just for shows/clinics or lessons? The reason I ask is that some boots in the ~$350 price range won’t last long with daily use even when taken care of properly. I bought a pair of Ariats in that range and had them stretched in order to get another 0.5" of width. Those boots lasted about 2 years before they started looking ratty.
When I looked around for other options, I found Ovation and fuller fillies. I opted for an Ariat and stretched it because I didn’t like the wide stretch panels on the back of the other boots.
Trestep make a tall boot with a wide calf in various heights and foot sizes, but only available in Ireland and the UK. I don’t get that, but it’s worth asking your tack shop if it could be special ordered.
Everyday/show, i dont mind the fuller fillies as it’s what i have now, but want to shop since they will cost comparitively similar to others
I have the Tredstep Donatello II field boots that I really like. I tried on the original Donatello field boots when I was 100 pounds heavier ( I had weight loss surgery). I thought the Donatello’s were very generously sized. I had one 18 inch calf and one at 17.75 inches and I am short. There plus line had Plus and W. I could have done the Plus. The W fit well right out of the box. Knowing how my Donatello II broke in the W would have been fine for me. I believe the Donatello II come as a dress boot also. I made sure I bought them from SmartPak. When I ordered the first pair I ordered short and medium. I had to return them for regular height and regular width. No return shipping. They took a few rides and a few days walking around the house with them on but they broke in beautifully. I could barely get them on at first and now they fit like second skin.
so the short plus should fit me? my calves are similar to yours, im going dress this time because of weak ankles
