I just got an Ortho-Flex saddle today and I’m a little unsure about what to use for a pad. It has the booties…but I’d really like to put something between that and the horse. I go on long weekend rides and don’t want to deal with them getting all sweaty and nasty.
I usually use 5 Star wool pads but from what I’ve been hearing/reading about these saddles they would be overkill (my % Stars are all 3/4 or 1 inch thick).
I was thinking about maybe using a 5 Star liner? (1/4 inch thick wool)
Anyone have any suggestions/insight regarding padding an Ortho-Flex?
