I did buy the used one as a resale item. It worked well, seemed a nicely built product, appeared brand new. The ground drive wheels turn a bottom roller with a rough surface of circles that pull apart the load above. It did well with sawdust bedding, spreading the load evenly. Not sure how it would do with baled straw. Mine was a fair size for 1 or 2 stalls dirty bedding. Probably a bit small for cleaning many more stalls. It had hub locks for making it spread or free-wheel out to your spreading area. They were easy to lock and unlock for use. Would need some grease now and again. I liked the small size to move it by hand, fit in my pickup to haul home easily, dId not take up much space parked when not in use.
The lady who bought it was very happy to find it, thought she got a good deal on it. She was a friend so I did not contact Jackie and Starlette when I sold it.
We have 9 horses, so too small for me. I would consider owning one if I only had a couple horses.
